Lárus Páll Ólafsson is founder of Klakar ehf. (2001) is a lawyer graduated from Reykjavik University School of Law and holds a M.Sc in business studies from the University of Iceland and Copenhagen Business School.
Lárus' dissertation in business studies discussed the development and use of profit centres as management control systems in a turbulent business environment, and included a case study based of 10 leading Icelandic companies and the attitude of their senior management to the use of control systems in strategy and planning based on theories.
Lárus also graduated with a B.A. in philosophy from the University of Iceland and University College Dublin, in 1995. His thesis discussed the nature and role of imagination as applied to the works of Plato and Greek tragedy.
In addition to his academic studies, Lárus has wide ranging experience of international business, and taught an M.Sc course in Company Management and Strategy at the University of Iceland.
